As the title suggests, these are probably the latest driver and utilities for Creative Nomad Jukebox/ZEN series of digital audio players. Tested under Windows 7 and Windows 10 (x86/x64 Edition).
Installation guide for legacy models (i.e. non MTP-compatible or models with older firmware)
1. Connect your Nomad/ZEN to the computer.
2. Extract the content of Creative_USB_x86_x64.zip then open Device Manager. Nomad/ZEN player should show up as an unknown device with exclamation mark. Install the aforementioned driver manually for it (choose either ctpd1394.inf or ctpdusb.inf whthin the Jukebox 3 Drivers folder)
3. Extract the CMS5_PCAPP_LB_5_10_38.exe with 7-Zip or WinRAR, then run Setup.exe found in the "Setup" folder, otherwise it will complain about not detecting compatible product.
4. Install CMS5_NJB2_PCAPP_LB_5_00_22.exe
Optional installation for MTP-enabled models (e.g. ZEN Touch/ZEN Micro with PlaysForSure firmware, ZEN Vision, ZEN Sleek, ZEN Vision: M...)
1. Extract the CMS5_PCAPP_LB_5_10_38.exe with 7-Zip or WinRAR, then run Setup.exe found in the "Setup" folder, otherwise it will complain about not detecting compatible product.
2. Install CMS5_MTP_PCAPP_LB_5_00_36.exe
Managing PlaysForSure devices via CMS5 is totally optional, however it does transfer album art for compatible models (ZEN Vision and later)
Installation for Dell Digital Jukebox (also known as Dell DJ - Gen 1)
1. Extract the CMS5_PCAPP_LB_5_10_38.exe with 7-Zip or WinRAR, then run Setup.exe found in the "Setup" folder, otherwise it will complain about not detecting compatible product.
2. Extract the content of Creative_USB_x86_x64.zip then open Device Manager. Nomad/ZEN player should show up as an unknown device with exclamation mark. Install the aforementioned driver manually for it (choose either ctpd1394.inf or ctpdusb.inf whthin the Jukebox 3 Drivers folder). When prompted, select either "Nomad Jukebox ZEN NX" or "ZEN Touch" from the list. Other options are untested.
3. Install CMS5_NJB2_PCAPP_LB_5_00_22.exe
4. Run the newly installed Creative MediaSource 5
Useful tip: music tracks with embedded album art may have playback issue on this model. Should any of the newly transfered music track fails to play due to "Playback Error", try removing the embedded album art first.
Dell DJ Gen 2 and Dell Pocket DJ with older (predates PlaysForSure) firmware probably works but are untested. Updating their firmware to the latest PlaysForSure version is highy recommended.
Players tested:
Nomad Jukebox 2/3, Nomad Jukebox ZEN (1394 variant), ZEN Touch (firmware v1.x), ZEN Vision, ZEN Vision: M, Dell Digital Jukebox (Gen 1).
Unsupported configuration:
Dell DJ (Gen 2) with 2.x firmware - doesn't work even with MTP plugin installed.
